«Baskin Robbins» annual report. Number of stores increases 40% in 2011
In 2011, 62 franchises and 7 corporate cafes were opened under the “Baskin Robbins” brand. The majority of new establishments were opened in Moscow, which has 52 “Baskin Robbins” cafes, while the largest “Baskin Robbins” ice cream café in Europe was opened on the NovyiArbat in July 2011.
According to Dunkin’ Brands International Chief Marketing Officer Paul Reynish, out of the chain’s 6,500 outlets across the world, the NovyiArbat“Baskin Robbins” café is a world leader both in terms of design and the variety of flavors available.
In the past year, the number of towns and cities in which the company operates has risen to 84, including regional capitals such as Novosibirsk, Abakan, Grozny, Petrozavodsk and Yakutsk.
Last year, “Baskin Robbins” was awarded two gold medals and laureate diplomas at the 18th “ProdExpo 2011” international exhibition and won the “Foodstuffs” category of the “Moscow quality” competition.
In 2011, “Baskin Robbins” was partner to a number of large-scale sports events: “Fed Cup”, “Race of Champions”, “Kremlin Cup” and the “European Junior Tennis Championships”.
The company was also a partner of various cultural events including the international “Tsar Jazz” festival, the “Snow Queen”, “Sleeping Beauty” and “City Lights” ice shows, as well as the “Zorro” and “Sound of Music” musicals.

Note: The first joint “Baskin Robbins” company in Russia, “Baskin Robbins Soviet International” (subsequently CJSC “BRPI”), was registered in 1990. Europe’s largest premium class ice cream factory was opened in Moscow in 1996. The “Baskin Robbins” chain can be found in 84 towns and cities in Russia and the CIS, it comprises 239 cafes offering 130 varieties of ice cream, including 3 varieties of “Premium Light”, 2 sherbets, 5 sorbets and 4 varieties with sugar substitute.
