Lavrynovych & Partners Acts as Legal Advisor in Preparing $2 bn External State Loan Bonds Issue
Lavrynovych & Partners Law Firm advised on Ukrainian laws in preparations for $2 bn external state loan bonds issue of 2012. The bonds were issued on July 17.
Legal services were provided under an agreement made between Lavrynovych & Partners and international law firm White & Case, which acts as a legal advisor for the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
As a result of the bonds issue, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine has received orders totaling $2 bn from 260 investors, 75% of whom represent the investment elite of the USA, Great Britain and continental Europe. The rate of return on the bonds was set at 9.25%.
Legal support at all stages of the bonds issue was provided by Partner Iryna Marushko, Head of Lavrynovych & Partners’ banking and finance practice, and Senior Associate Olena Zubchenko.
