Yandex Invites to a Two-Day Seminar on Keyword Advertising
Internet, March 17, 2006. Yandex will hold a two-day seminar on the subject of online advertising in general and Yandex ad products in particular. The seminar will be held in Moscow in late April. The seminar is open for advertisement distributors, advertising agencies and web-studios staff, and everyone who wants to learn more about Yandex advertising possibilities.
The seminar will be held in Bolshoi Petrovsky Hall of the President Hotel. There is a participation fee. All participants will receive attendee certificates; those who successfully pass the tests will become certified experts in online advertising.
“Since the time of the last Yandex’s seminar in Moscow, we visited some 20 Russian and Ukrainian cities with similar activities,” tells Andrey Sebrant, Yandex Director for Special Projects. “On the one hand, we saw the genuine interest of the participants, and on the other hand, we learned a lot and got a better understanding of which subjects need explanation and demonstration by clear examples. Now the time has come to tell in detail about today’s Yandex and its possibilities at a two-day Moscow seminar.”
Over the last year, many things changed on the global and Russian online advertising market. Yandex evolved, too – both from the users’ (i.e. services provided) and advertisers’ perspective. There were substantial changes in advertising products and their terms and conditions: pricing and discount policies.
Since January 2005, banners are no longer used in paid search, and starting from November 2005, text advertisement in search results was entirely transferred to the pay per click basis and is now sold through the Yandex.Direct interface. Yandex Advertising Network was launched at the end of 2005, and now advertisements are displayed both on Yandex pages and on the participant sites of the Ad Network.
“Yandex.Direct is a delicate instrument. The advertisers who know the system better achieve superior results at lower cost. Our wish is to see as many skilled advertisers as possible,” explains Yandex CCO Alexey Tretyakov.
At the seminar, the leading experts and division managers of Yandex will talk about new developments and the current situation in online advertising, including keyword (paid search) and media content advertising. Special focus will be given to practical ways of using Yandex capabilities to create efficient communication with target audiences. The program will traditionally include theory and practical courses.
