Yandex Gives Companies Opportunity to Tell More About Themselves

Yandex has made it possible for companies and organizations to add or edit their contact details and other information to the text displayed next to the link to their website in the search results. Using the Yandex.Webmaster service, a company or a business can now include its address and telephone number in the company description in search results, and provide more information to be shown on a company’s business card on Yandex.Maps.
Yandex Grades Moscow Traffic Jams
Internet, September 12, 2006. From today on, Yandex will rate Moscow traffic jams on a ten-grade scale. Internet users in Moscow will see traffic load score and a special icon — "Yandex traffic lights" — on Yandex home page. The data are updated every five minutes. Detailed information on driving conditions and traffic jams in Moscow can still be found at Yandex.Maps.
Yandex.News Shows Maps
Internet, June 23, 2006. Starting today, the stories in Yandex.News that mention geographical addresses related to events also feature relevant fragments of the city map. The retrieval of addresses in the news and selection of matching map fragments for illustration are based on a proprietary fact extraction technology developed by Yandex.

Starting today, Yandex.Maps feature Moscow Traffic Jams with information about traffic conditions on the roads of the capital city. The data are promptly updated every four minutes.
