Недавно в своём Twitter-аккаунте компания СмоФаст и агентство СмоСервис сообщили о расширении своего штата сотрудников. Как сообщает пресс-служба данных сервисов, сейчас они получают множество новых заказов. Количество пользователей уже близко к 200 000. В техническую поддержку также стало поступать больше вопросов и, чтобы не заставлять клиентов ждать, сервисы приняли решение о расширении штата сотрудников техотдела.

Internet, February 15, 2010. Now Yandex users can find the closest bank, shoe repair shop or any other business or organization without even providing their current location. To use this feature, all they need to do is download the new Yandex.Bar on their Wi-Fi enabled PC or laptop and it will automatically locate the user and will send this information to Yandex search.

Internet, February 12, 2010. Yandex invites all sports enthusiasts to follow the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver online. Web users can view regularly updated medal standings right on Yandex’s front page, while to check on the current Olympic events in real time, they can go to olymp2010.yandex.ru.

Internet, February 11, 2010. Yandex has made it possible for companies and organizations to add or edit their contact details and other information to the text displayed next to the link to their website in the search results. Using the Yandex.Webmaster service, a company or a business can now include its address and telephone number in the company description in search results, and provide more information to be shown on a company’s business card on Yandex.Maps.

Internet, February 9, 2010. Saint Petersburg, one of the most beautiful cities of the world, now has panoramic views of its streets on Yandex.Maps. Now web users can take a tour around the city to see the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, the famed Nevsky Prospekt or Saint Isaac's Cathedral. Virtual travelers can also visit neighboring Petergof, Pushkin, Pavlovsk, Kronstadt, Vyborg or Gatchina.

Internet, February 1, 2009. Yandex announced preliminary unaudited results for 2009. Ruble revenue grew 14% compared to 2008 and reached 8.7 billion rubles ($278 million). As before, contextual ads accounted for 86% of the Company’s revenues. Display ads comprised 11%.

Internet, December 22, 2009. Yandex search shows locally relevant results for web users living in the cities which have enough websites with local content. So, users in one of 1,250 cities making a local search query like “driving school” [автошкола] or “dentist” [стоматология] will see results most relevant for this particular city.

Internet, December 16, 2009. Yandex search users can now find local businesses or organizations in a particular area of the city or around a certain metro station. People in Moscow can see right in the search results where the watch repair shop at Taganskaya metro station [ремонт часов на таганской] is, and coffee drinkers in Ekaterinburg can find out if they can have their coffee at a coffee shop on Uralskaya Street[кафе на уральской].

Internet, December 15, 2009. Yandex.Maps has added a new photo layer. Now users of the service can see photos from unusual locations, images of interesting buildings, cityscapes and landscapes from all over the world displayed on the map. Yandex.Maps gives its users an opportunity to travel to different cities and countries without leaving their home – see Venice, the Brooklyn Bridge or the Egyptian pyramids. All photos on Yandex.Maps are made by the users of the Yandex.Fotki service.

Internet, December 14, 2009. Yandex has updated its Catalog. In addition to thematic links sorted into categories, the service now provides its users with relevant content from other Yandex services. Now, web users can see not only category listed links, but also get an answer to their questions about studies, sports, entertainment and other exciting things.

Internet, December 11, 2009. Yandex.Market comparison shopping service now considers delivery charges in its product and price listings. Users can now choose a vendor or even a region to make the most cost-efficient purchase.

Internet, December 9, 2009. The Yandex.Timetable service has added information about international and domestic flights all over the world. From now on, users of the service will be able to find a flight from anywhere in the world to any destination – be it from New York to Beijing or from Rome to Naples.

Internet, December 2, 2009. Yandex launches Yandex.Cities, a service offering local information for users living in cities. Now, urban users can find answers to locally relevant questions like ‘what’s on in the movies’, ‘what’s new’, ‘where to go on a Friday night’ and many more. The first two cities featured on the service are Astana and Almaty, the two major cities in Kazakhstan.
