Internet, November 20, 2007. Yandex announced a joint program between its photo hosting service Yandex.Fotki and FotoClick.ru, a photo printing service. The program will allow Yandex.Fotki users to select their favorite images, to print and purchase them through FotoClick.ru. One 10x15cm (4x6 inch) photo will cost 3.5 roubles ($0.14 USD) and can be delivered by mail, by courier, or picked up at a FotoClick.ru service outlet.

In the past year after the Advertising Network had changed the criteria of membership, its audience has tripled, the monthly number of conversions (a user click-through resulting in a certain action, like a purchase or a form submission) to advertisers’ web sites has grown by 340%, and its monthly payouts to advertising partners increased by 450%.

Moscow, October 25, 2007. Today, Yandex announces that its Yandex.Direct ad-serving system now supports the Ukranian language. Advertisers have the ability to compose their advertisements in Ukrainian and to display them next to search results on the corresponding queries. Yandex.Direct now has a Ukrainian interface as well.

Internet, October 15, 2007. Yandex has announced that its advertising platform, Yandex.Direct, will now offer a deferred payments system for its regular customers. Previously, only the prepayment option was available to advertisers.

Novosibirsk, October 12, 2007. Yandex is now positioned as a local resource in Novosibirsk. The company has set up its networking equipment within the Novosibirsk Internet Exchange Point (NSK IX) and now allows local internet providers to give their users free access to the Yandex services like if it was a local resource. This Novosibirsk Internet Exchange Point serves a base for direct and free traffic exchange between Yandex and most of the local internet providers.

Internet, October 9, 2007. Yandex has started publishing user ratings for Yandex.Market, the portal’s network of online shops. Online shoppers can now choose an e-commerce site based on cumulative user opinion that is available to all the Yandex.Market visitors.

Internet, October 8, 2007. Yandex has announced that the Eighth Annual Open Internet Search Cup, which the company has held since 2001 will begin on October 11, 2007. At stake is a combined prize fund of 1,249,000 roubles (almost $50,000 USD).

Now, every school in Russia and CIS has an opportunity to make their own homepage at school.yandex.ru and to stream there their own news and events. Internet, October 30, 2007. Yandex announced that it is now offering a monthly budget forecasting tool for all users of Yandex.Direct, the company’s online advertising service. Advertisers will now be able to approximate their monthly budgets by selecting specific online parameters that match their company’s needs, and as a result save money and time for testing their advertising campaigns.

Internet, October 2, 2007. Today, Yandex has introduced a customized search engine specifically for its Ukrainian users. Search queries that originate from the Ukraine, display results that prioritize Ukrainian web sites in their search results. In addition, the Yandex search interface at www.yandex.ua has been translated into the Ukrainian language.
